Various weekends at Bluegill Lake Family Camping Resort include a theme.
Crafts and activities are based around the theme.
Participation is optional and some fees may apply ($).
May 1-3, 2026
There will be no planned activities this weekend. It's all about getting back to nature,
relaxing and enjoying family and friends.
May 8-101, 2026: Mother’s Day
It’s time to celebrate MOM. We’ll make cards and gifts on Saturday morning.
Sunday morning the celebration continues with breakfast in the Activity Center ($1.50/person).
May 22-25, 2026: Memorial Weekend
The unofficial start of summer. This weekend is filled with crafts and activities for all ages.
Make sure to bring the bicycles for the annual bicycle parade.
June 6, 2026: Potato Bar Potluck
5:00pm will be gathering for a potluck in the Rec Center
We'll supply the potatoes and ask those that attend bring items to load them up.
June 19-21, 2026: Father’s Day
It’s time to celebrate Dad. Crafts will consist of making gifts and cards.
The celebration continues Sunday morning with breakfast in the Activity Center ($1.50/person).
July 3-6, 2026: Independence Day Weekend
This weekend at Bluegill Lake is like a company picnic. Time to relax and enjoy being together.
There’ll be numerous activities throughout the weekend, patriotic
crafts, games and the bicycle parade (because it is all about the kids).
July 10-12, 2026: Halloween Weekend
Halloween is always fun, that’s why we do it in July.
There'll be crafts, a Halloween party, trick-or-treating and a site decorating contest.
It’s sure to be a spooktacular time.
July 17-19, 2026: Christmas in July
We'll deck the halls with crafts, a holiday party, and a site decorating contest,
and the jolly dude himself, Santa!
July 31-Aug 2, 2026: Western Weekend/Chili Cookoff Potluck
Mosey on down for a weekend of rootin-tootin good fun. We’ll be craftin, gamin, and racin.
Saturday evening, there’s a Chili Cook-off potluck (prizes for the best chili).
August 14-16, 2026: Color-Me-Fun
Crafts and activities will be based around tie dying and such
($-Bring your own or Bluegill Lake coloring Tee's are available for purchase)
September 4-7, 2026: Labor Day/Glow
We’ll have the bicycle parade, greased watermelon contest, watermelon eating contest,
glitter tattoos, the annual glow parade and glow site contest and much more.
So, get your glow on and let’s illuminate Bluegill Lake!
September 11-13, 2026: Grandparents Day
We’ll be making cards and gifts to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa.
Sunday morning join us for breakfast in the Activity Center ($1/person).
October 3, 2026: Autumn Harvest Fest
5:00pm join us as we gather for the last potluck of season. We supply the Turkey and/or Ham
and ask the guests to be bring a dish to pass (preferably a fare of the season), Please notify the office
of your dish in advance. This is a time to relax and visit with your friends and neighbors all while
taking in the smells and scenery of the season.
October 16-18, 2026: Closing Weekend
This is the final weekend of the season.
Relax, enjoy and reconnect with nature, family and friends one final time in 2025.
